Philly Restaurant Openings

Philadelphia is constantly having new restaurants, bars, and clubs opening. And, with so many new places and so many beloved old spots, it can be hard to keep up with what restaurant or bar is opening next. Here are some of Philly’s newest newcomers:

• Saté Kampar–Malaysian saté on East Passyunk
• Southwark–Chef Chris D’Ambro and Marina De Oliveira are making some changes to the Queen Village Classic
• Bar Hygge–Fairmont Ave’s newest brewpub thanks to Tom Baker and Peggy Zwerver
• Double knot–Michael Schulson and Kevin Yanaga’s new coffee shop, sushi bar, and Japanese restaurant
• J–Craig Wilson’s new international cuisine restaurant will be opening on Main Street in Manayunk
• ApricotStone–Another new spot in Northern Liberties, but this time it is an Armenian and Mediterranean cafe
• Masala Grill–Indian food will now be easily accessible with this new spot on Walnut Street

• Matt & Marie’s – Rittenhouse

Italian sandwich spot opens second location, this one with pastas, salads and power bowls.

• Saté Kampar

A new cuisine for East Passyunk, Malaysian saté.

• Southwark

New owners, chef Chris D’Ambro and fiancée Marina De Oliveira reboot the Queen Village classic.

• Bar Hygge

Tom Baker and Peggy Zwerver opening a brewpub at 1720 Fairmount Avenue. The pub will be branded as Bar Hygge, and the brewing operation will be Brewery Techne.

Michael Schulson and Kevin Yanaga are opening a coffee shop, sushi bar and Japanese restaurant on 13th Street.

Chef Craig Wilson opens his international cuisine restaurant on Main Street in Manayunk.

Armenian and Mediterranean cafe opens in Northern Liberties.
