Instant Pot Steel Cut Oats

Steel cut oats are a delicious way to start your morning. The only issue currently is that you cannot substitute this with quick rolled oats because the steel oats need to be cooked longer, however, they have a wonderful coarse and chewy texture which many people enjoy. You can make this dish ahead of time and then microwave it for future enjoyment. Add milk and fruits to really enhance the flavor of this delightful dish.

Key Takeaways:

  • Steel cut oats can’t be made into overnight oats; they need to be cooked.
  • Steel cut oats are less processed than rolled oats and can take longer to cook on the stovetop but using an Instant Pot can cut that time by a lot.
  • Steel cut oats can be made ahead and refrigerated, just add the toppings in later.

“A warm and heart-healthy breakfast, making Steel Cut Oats in the Instant Pot is so much faster than making them on the stove!”
